MILLE MIGLIA
300SLR #722
MOSS' MERCEDES

Stirling Moss, accompanied by
Denis Jenkinson, drove his
Mercedes Benz 300 SLR #722,
to victory in the 1955 Mille Miglia.

Moss, aided by Jenkinson's
clever navigators 'scroll'
attached the dashboard,
set an all time record,
completing the gruelling
992mile circuit in
10 hrs,7 mins and 48 secs,
an average speed of 98.4mph

The sculpture measures
135mm x 50mm
.

Unlike most of my other sculptures, this early piece has been cast by the lost-wax process in solid aluminium
by craftsmen in England,
and is finished by hand
to a highly polished lustre.

Each piece is numbered
and signed by Robin Bark.

The piece is presented in a
bespoke wooden box
with details of the
1955 Mille Miglia circuit
inscribed on the sliding lid
and is accompanied by a
certificate of authenticity.
